Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t have time, should I join?

We’re leaders too — your calendar is packed and you already can’t get to the things you need to get to. We’ve been there. And we know that when this happens, it means you need support now

We always think we’ll have more time in the elusive future. We don’t. Life is an unending string of mitigating circumstances. Urgent things will always come up — with the right peers sitting next to you, you’ll start carving out more time for what matters.

If you don’t think you have time for this, you need it more than ever.

What’s the price?

Up to $550/month depending on leadership level (lower for non-CEO groups, for example), no commitment and a 30-day notice to cancel.

If you bring your biggest topics and challenges to your group and you’re taking action on what you learn, you and your company will see a massive ROI from your group.

What kinds of groups are you curating?

Our model is to find the best facilitators with incredible experience and then build a group for them around their industry, role in the organization (CEO, C-Level, VP, etc.) and area of expertise.

Fill out an inquiry form, and if we don’t have an open group available, we’ll let you know and put you on a waitlist for the next one in your industry.

What kinds of questions or issues do members share with their group?

First, everyone signs an NDA. Any topic, issue, or opportunity, whether business or life, is fair game for bringing to your group and getting support and new perspectives on.

Here are some examples of topics members are working through together:

  • Transitioning out a founder

  • Dealing with a non-performing partner

  • Acquiring a competitor

  • Considering a merger

  • Structuring incentive compensation

  • Scaling

  • Deciding whether or not to be a B-Corp

  • Structuring owner equity

  • Effectively managing culture in a distributed team

  • Discerning when and how to hire a CFO/CMO/COO

  • Navigating marketing and sales challenges

  • And whatever is keeping you awake at night

Can I join and also stay in my existing peer group?

Of course! Roughly 20% of our members also participate in other groups. We designed Bluefield groups to easily work with other ways you’re investing in your growth and development. The only thing we ask is that you respect our commitment to confidentiality — what’s said in your group stays in your group

What kinds of companies will be in my group?

To be effective, it’s important that member companies are relatively similar in ambition, size, and structure. When we interview new potential members, this is a key consideration.

Of equal importance, we screen for members who have a fierce desire to be the best in their field, impact their communities, and are growth and future-focused.

Can I get a list of other companies in the group before committing?

We’re happy to share general, anonymous profiles of other members to help you gauge fit. Confidentiality is a top priority, and we also understand that having the right companies in the room is an important decision factor for you. Toward the end of the application process, you may speak with a few current group members as a final fit check on all sides.

What if I have to miss a meeting?

We know that emergencies happen. You can miss up to 3 of 12 meetings — then the group can vote to open up your spot.

What’s expected of me?

Show up. Lean in. Share. Be curious. Keep confidences. No selling. Be the kind of peer you’d want.

Can’t I just do this myself?

You can. Many leaders try to gather a group of friends, and inevitably, there are a few who don’t take the commitment seriously, miss a meeting because of a work emergency, and then another. Or, you’ve gathered a group of friends and everyone just wants to sit around and chat while you have pressing issues.

Even if you’re not sure, just apply. Your application doesn’t obligate you to a group. Just get the conversation started.
